Drawing Conversations: A National Art School Symposium
On September 28, 2016 the National Art School Drawing Department will stage Drawing Conversations, bringing to light the myriad ways in which drawing stimulates our seeing, our thinking and a shared sense of being in the world.
Featuring discussions by and between artists about drawings that inspire, stir or challenge them, an exhibition of drawings by sixty artists, and a month long collaborative project between artists from the three Sydney art schools, Drawing Conversations will be an event that illuminates the practice and appreciation of drawings for artists, students, and members of the public. All welcome.
Guest lecturers include Professor Kit Wise, Head of the Tasmanian College of the Arts, University of Tasmania, Melbourne painter, Mary Tonkin, and artist Luke Thurgate who lectures at the Adelaide Central School of Art.
